My oh likes a certain pair of Nike trainers that looks like it’s got a shell stuck on them. I happily tell him that they are ugly. He knows he has stuff I hate like his bright yellow crocs.

I tell him. He also tells me if he doesn’t like something but I have good taste for myself so he’s rarely ever said he doesn’t like something but I always ask his opinion anyway. I have told him before I don’t like his shoes etc. he usually comes to me for style advice anyway because he knows out of both of us, he trusts my style judgement more lol.

Tell him they remind you of a pair your dad had and see if he minds lol maybe that’s what he’s going for 🤣 or I would buy him a new pair and just always suggest he wears those when you’re out together lol

I wouldn't say anything unless he asked you for your opinion when they arrived tbh... even at that point I'd be gentle about it and reassure him that it only matters if he likes them anyway as its his body..he's probably excited to have treated himself and he must like them if not he wouldn't have ordered them.
I always try put myself if their shoes, imagine you had treated yourself to a beautiful dress that you couldn't wait to receive because you liked it and your partner shot it down and dulled your excitement just because they could, would kind of suck and be unnecessary imo x

I def agree I will be gentle if I do say anything . That being said it was me that suggested he get some new shoes as he normally just goes between work boots and sandals. They are just some cheap second had from vinted. So it's not like a special thing for him , but I still don't wanna upset him . Just made me giggle a bit and thought it would make a funny poll on here 😂 ❤️ there not horrendous just not what I would pick 😂

I’d tell him but me and my man crack on each other all the time so it’s not a big deal to us we don’t always have the same taste but we do always let each other know if you like it I love that for you

Yeah I'd tell mine too, but he wouldn't take offence. we have that kind of relationship, he takes the piss out of my mum or sister if they wear shoes that he doesn't like but in a jokey way and we aren't a family that take offence so I'd definitely say something if I thought they where ugly, I'd be like you aren't coming out with me with those on your feet 🤣
