Let’s say “young” is before 25, and “older” is after 30. I feel like the optimum age to have kids is between 25 and 30 - but that’s just me.
Personally I had my first at 33 and having my second at 35. I wish I could have had them younger but it wasn’t in the cards for me.

Ideally I would have had both my kids in my mid 30s. Like 33-36ish. Had my first at 37 and second (and last) just after turning 41. It is what it is though 🤷♀️
I know it’s perfectly normal but having kids before 30 seems young to me! I think it depends on where you live to a certain extent.

Had my first at 23 and second at 25 after getting married to my college sweetheart at 22. Could’ve waited a few years but also am happy I could recover faster because of it. Pros and cons to it all

I had my first at 25, just before my 26th birthday! I think it was the perfect age. My mum had me young and I feel like she still had a lot of growing up to get through, she parented me so different to how she parented my brothers (she had them 11 and 16 years later then me) she struggled a lot more with the pregnancy with my youngest brother as she was older too.

Biologically speaking, I’m really happy with the age I had my baby. I’m definitely one and done no shade to older moms, but I honestly can’t imagine doing this in my late 30s. I have so much energy to keep up with my child, and childbirth was honestly a breeze. I had an amazing natural birth, was up and walking right after, and recovered quickly. On top of that, I’ve got a solid career and a great place to live. I feel really grateful for how everything aligned.

I had my first at 28 and second at 30.

I had my first at 21, and my 2nd when I’d just turned 23, I’m happy I had them young but I wish id had a bit kore adulting experience before they came along(living without parents being responsible for bills, looking after a car, cleaning a whole house things like that)

i had mine unplanned at 21. definitely wish i was at least 25 but, it is what it is

Had my first at 28 and my second at 30. Im happy with how old i was. I wouldnt have minded if i was a couple years younger when i had them but it wasnt in the cards for me back then.

I had my first at 20 right before my 21st birthday, my second at 27, and third at 29. I'm happy I had all of my children before 30. I have more energy to play and chase them around. Plus when they are older my husband and I can travel before we get too old.

27 when I had my first

Had my kid at 26.... Sooo does that mean im in the 'just right' range or...?

I had my first two at 19 and 21. I found out I was pregnant with my first at 18. And I am 34 now and just recently found out I’m expecting!!!
I wish I waited. I chose the absolute wrong person to have my first two children with. I had zero support, zero life experience, zero guidance. I was learning as I was going. Winging it honestly. I married because I felt it’s what you were supposed to do.
I feel way too damn old to have a child now but I have more patience, more wisdom, I’m calmer, and at a great place in my life. It’s going to be crazy with the age gap that I’ll have but I’m so excited to slow down and actually soak this one up!

I had my daughter at 32 and I'm glad I waited just due to poverty. My husband and I were broke as joke in our 20s and had to get ourselves together. We're more stable and can give our child the childhood we didnt have with stability and security.

Had my first at 35 and second at 37. I’d always imagined having children younger, but I didn’t meet my husband till I was 30. We’ve both got good careers, we’ve travelled a bit, have a nice house and can provide well for our children. I had a home birth with my second and was up and walking straight after too, the midwives all commented on how well I looked, so you’re not over the hill once you hit 30! 😂

Had my first at 27 and my twins at 28. I think I had them at a good time.

I was in engineering school when I was in my 20’s and with a five year program not sure how I could have. I love being an older mom just wish I didn’t need sleep lol 😂

Had my daughter at 39. I tried to conceive for almost 20 years. I wish it had worked when my body was younger but it is what it is. I got to live my life, grow, mature, and step into motherhood an entirely different person to who I was 10-20 years ago.

Had my first at 17, second at 25, 3rd at 32, 4th at 36! Happy with all ages tbh

I was 29, almost 30 with my first born. I'll have just turned 32 with my second 🥰

I had my little girl at 21, she’s 14 months old now. She was fully planned and I’ve loved every second of motherhood so far. I really wanted to have children “young”. Pregnancy was a breeze, giving birth was hard ngl but I recovered really quickly and now 14 months later I love having all the energy to run after her

I was 18 with my first, completely not planned, although I was happy after the initial shock. 21 with my second, 26 with my third x

I travelled & worked in my 20s, met my partner at 24, started trying for a baby late 20s but didn't conceive until I was 31; life sometimes has its own plans but you make the best of it, young or older x

I had my first at 17, second at 21 and third at 23. I wish I would have waited because I had no business having a baby as a baby. I had a lot of inhaled intern wounds from childhood that i’m still learning to work towards and doing that with 3 kids is hard. I was super abused as a child so learning to live as an adult and raise kids without being abusive with numerous mental illnesses as a result of my trauma is hard.

I was 33 with my first and 36 with my second. In my 20s I was focused on my career. To me it was important to be very comfortable financially so I can actually enjoy them and give them the best start in life. I was not able to do this in my 20ies.

Had my first at 26 and am happy with it

First born I had when I was 28, second born I've just had a couple of days ago at the age of 30, I am all done with having children now and I wouldn't change them, their father, where i am in life or the timings for anything

I wish I would have had mine a little closer together. My first born came earthside when I was just 18. 🥰💕

I wanted kids after 30 and absolutely no sooner. My husband and I didn't even meet until we were 25/26. We had so much time to travel, throw ourselves into education and our careers, live purely selfishly and do whatever we wanted. We had the wedding and honeymoon we wanted, too. It was amazing!
Our lives with kids now are also amazing in a different way. But I feel on some level if I hadn't had all those experiences before that I might feel I was missing out. We're also so established an senior in our careers that we're financially secure and able to relax a bit on that front which makes for happier parents and happier kids.
I had my first at 31 and my second at 35. Absolutely perfect timing for us!

First: age 21
Second: age 26
I was happy but also could’ve waited.

I was nearly 30 which is the average age amongst my peers. I couldn’t have done it earlier as we brought a flat and then got married first. I might of waited a year though in hindsight as my oh was a bank manager at the time the banks were in serious trouble. My second I had at 37 and I would have liked to of had her earlier but it ended up being perfect timing as was made redundant and got a years pay.

I was 29 when he was born. Wish I had them younger, but my former partners weren’t worth having a baby with.

I don’t know honestly.. I had my first at 23 was pregnant at 22 years old. I’m having my second at 25 and honestly I wish I would’ve waited to have my first at this age. It’s not a huge difference, but I feel like I rushed it. It’s a really, really long story on why I feel this way, but I am happy, I just now wish I would’ve waited just a couple more years.

Had my first at 34. If I had met my husband earlier we would have started earlier.

I had my eldest at 29 and my youngest at 30, happy with my age but sometimes wish I was a bit younger because I’d like a third now and feel like I have less time to plan for that

First at 30 - second due at 33. Had 10 years with my husband before we had kids and travelled, partied and had fun. Owned a big enough house for kids and was financially stable! So that I could be with my daughter and not have to worry about working full time. Probably could have waited longer as I wasn't finished having fun yet 😂 but 30 suited us!

I've just had my first baby 10 weeks ago and im 24 at the end of June and as much as I could of waited to have a baby till 25/26 I wouldn't change my life now for anything

Got pregnant and had my son at 37. Will be 40 when the next one is born ( that casually trying did work ... Lol... I'm due in January

Had my first at 30, wish it would have been 35. I just have a lot of opprotunities comming to me, that would have been nice to be in to for at least a couple of years.

I’ve done both. I had my first when I was 21 and I had my second at 36. They both have their pros. They both have their challenges. But I regret neither. And would do it over again, the exact same way.

Became a step-mum at 21 and had my own at 25 and wouldn’t change it for the world x

29 having my first, he’s almost 11months. I wish I had a child earlier in my 20s but I have PCOS and always assumed I couldn’t get pregnant naturally so stayed on long term contraception for irregular periods. 12 months after stopping, I was pregnant naturally .. quite shocked to say the least 😂

Just had my first, will be 25 next month and I plan to have the next one before I turn 30 and that’s me done

I had my first at 23 and second at 29, I don’t regret it but I do wish I’d had some friends that were mothers too so they would’ve been more understanding of my situation and that I’d enjoyed a bit more before having kids as I wasn’t long out of uni and was just starting to travel with friends. My recent pregnancy was awful, I felt horrid compared to my first pregnancy. I couldn’t imagine having another baby after 30 😭

Whenever you had them, was the right time. If you had done it differently, you wouldn’t have the same kid.

Had my first in my early 20s second mid 20s youngest 36 happy with my ages and decions on having my kids just not happy with the first to sperm donor 🤣

I had my baby at 26 - for me personally I wish I had waited until 30 as I had just finished uni and was trying to get settled into my career and begin adult life, she was a big surprise so I had to start with literally nothing - had to find a house, decorate furnish it and my career did take a big hit so I kinda wish I had everything sorted for her first but hey I’m doing well now back into my career my house is getting there and me and my girl are happy so lemons and lemonade and all that 🤣🤷♀️

Had my daughter at 25 and I feel like that was the perfect age for me 😊

26, 29 and 32

I was the first of my group to have one at 27 and I felt the big shift in support and lifestyle which was tough. Now due to give birth to my third at 32 it’s nice to be done and root on my friends who are trying to start families or having their first this year. It’s nice to see them evolve in motherhood and be in the same phase of life there’s nothing like it.

I was 22 when he was born I wish I just waited till about 25 so I could do more stuff like travel but don’t regret it at all x
