Poor napper

Help! My 7 week old baby boy avoids his naps 😵‍💫 I don't know what to do anymore. He'll only nap I'm the carrier. I'm so tired of walking multiple times a day for hours on end, just trying to make sure he's having his nap. I follow his slerpy cues. I know he's tired,he's been fed and comfortable. He just refuses. Or I'll get him asleep and try rest from walking, and He'll wake up immediately. If he doesn't nap properly, he is such a grumpy pants and doesn't sleep well at night. I just want to know I'm not alone and what other parents are doing. And does it improve as baby grows or am I stuck with a poor napper?

This happens with us too and LO is nearly 9 weeks! It had been happening for a few weeks but is slightly better now. Now we just give in and let him sleep on us or in the carrier or bouncer

Maybe try a baby swing?

@Lauryne I'd love him to just want to sleep on my chest. He just doesn't. The only way to get him to fall asleep for a nap is in the carrier. And I have to be moving. As soon as I stop. He wakes up😵‍💫

@Ashleigh Will he sleep next to you at night with you in the C-curl? One of the best sleep-related things I did was work out my daughters ‘patterns’, after 20 minutes her breathing changes and she goes into a deeper sleep which is the ideal time to move her/put her down, after exactly 40 minutes she stirs and often wakes up but as long as there’s no external stimulation and I’m there if she needs me then she goes right back to sleep and into a deeper one that time. It might be useful to see if you could work out something like that? Yoga ball + carrier was also a god send for me in the early days x
