Crib hour/short naps after sleep training

Hey! My question is about the crib hour. Before sleep training my boy used to connect his sleep cycles for his naps but after sleep training he wakes up after 20-30 mins almost after every nap. We consistently did crib hour for the last 2 weeks but it is not helping and he ends up crying on and off for half an hour after almost every nap. Any idea what is happening and how can I help him to connect his sleep cycles again for his naps?

You sure it’s not a sleep pressure issue / routine change needed?

I suspect it might be the reason but he is on a 2 naps routine and I feel at 12 months it is too early to drop to 1 nap schedule.

We've dropped to 1 nap at 11 months, still transitioning atm, but LO wakes 730am, nap at 1200-1430, bedtime at 7pm

How is he falling asleep? Is he going into his cot awake and falling asleep and then waking after 30mins or do you help him fall asleep and then try crib hour? What did you do before sleep training?

@Edel hi eden, we used to hold his hand in his crib and he used to fall asleep holding hour hands (leaving the room afterwards). back then he used to sleep up to 2 hours. Then we did Ferber 2 weeks ago, putting him awake in the crib and falling asleep independently and now he can’t connect his sleep cycles.
