Pronounced Ellie-ya (like Aaliyah but with an E). It's the Greek version of Elijah, and probably my top boy name so far, but worried it sounds too feminine and too similar to Aaliyah?

I think it's a lovely name! The pronunciation is similar to Elliot just without the T on the end so I don't think its feminine at all xx

Thank you 🤍🤍

I love it but I must admit that when I read it, I read it as eelia, like Elia Kazan

I don’t think it sounds too feminine but if you want a masculine end sound you could do elio

Elias maybe?

Thanks so much everyone! Back to the drawing board 🥲

I don't know if it helps but I loved Ellis for a boys name. There isn't many boys with that name where I am so it's considered unique. It's similar but more masculine xx

If you love the name, use it! There are tons of names that were originally masculine that are now gender neutral/feminine. No one bats an eye as masculine names for girls

i like the name, but based on how it sounds and the 'a' ending, i would assume it was a girl's name.
have you considered Elio? i love Elio for a boy, and it is similar to Elia, but sounds more masculine. or Elias? 🤷🏻♂️

I like it 🤗 depends on where you live. Where I live it would be fine but in some places people can be jerks

Thank you ladies!! I'm totally in 2 minds!! X
