Is it rude to take baby to hair salon appointment?

I have a hair appointment tomorrow and plan on bringing my 3 month old because I have no one to watch him. Not sure if this is considered rude or if I should give the salon a heads up or what.

I think at 3 months it's okay because they sleep a lot at that age and just sit in a carrier. It's when they're older and crazy and can't sit still is when I definitely wouldn't bring them. But you know your baby best.

Totally fine. I used to do hair and would be fine with this. My hairstylist wears her baby while she works.

I'm sure they'll love it. Dogs and babies are always welcome 😂
Personally I'd ask in advance but I don't think it's ride

I have had to bring my toddler before to appointments and she has been fab and my hairdresser has been absolutely fine with it, especially as she's a mum too. Sometimes it just can't be helped.

I would give them a heads up to check because some places would be ok with in but others won’t be.

My fiancé is going to his barber with our 14 month old on Friday for a haircut cause I’m working 😂

I would for sure give a heads up. I’ve been to salons that have no children policies

I brought my 4 month old to my hair appt and nail appts. 🤷🏼‍♀️ they were really nice and understanding. Especially the nail appt bc baby boy woke up and wanted to feed so the lady stopped for a sec so I can get him situated in my lap to breastfeed and she actually went around the table to do my nails so I was still in comfortable position getting it done and breastfeeding.

Not at that age and if they are content. It's more mobile kids and the health and safety breaches alongside healthy noise pollution.

You have to ask, but then again, a salon is actually not a great place for a 3 months old to be in. The hair spray, the haircuts, the noise, all the products! I don’t particularly enjoy those smells myself, so I would never bring my babies that young into a salon. But if you must, then I would def let the salon know first and see what they think. If the baby ends up crying all the time, I really would just reschedule - I would understand why they would not enjoy being at the salon - my hair could always wait

I think it depends on the temperment of your baby. I also would call ahead and ask, but thats just me.

Thank you everyone for the advice!!

I took my baby all the way up to 14 months with me!

Bring in a car seat or carrier

My hair dresser said whilst she would like a heads up if I had to bring baby to try to work my appointment around any other appointments using harsh chemicals other than that if I needed to bring baby I could. I like not to simply because I don't get my hair cut very regularly anymore so I see it as me time but if I had to I could and would xx

Phone ahead let them know that you’re childcare has cancelled they should fine at 3 months just as they get older and want to be moving it’s a problem

Wdy think of this for a toddler to learn word construction?

I'm open to anything else to start teaching him to read and write. He's 3!

Do men really enjoy fellatio?

Been together more than 10 years, but it's been a while since he even seemed remotely interested in me getting on my knees, or vice versa so to speak. I think it was once last year. Must be something I am doing wrong 🤔. Generally everything else in that department is great and we have two young kids with no extra support, so it's quite surprising we can't keep our hands off each other but may need to try new things. It's basically 2 positions each time with some foreplay.

Naps

How is everyone doing for naps?

Little one is 9 months old and will have 2 half hour naps and one solid 1 hour - 2 hour nap a day

Then settles for night around 9pm. Wakes for a feed around 3:30 then sleeps until 6-7

Vanilla extract

Has anyone used alcohol free vanilla in their babies formal to help them drink?
I’m 100% sure my baby refuses her bottles as she doesn’t like the taste of it!

Just anxious to try it, don’t want her to get used to it and then refuse bottles again after two weeks of using (correct me if I’m wrong but I’ve read you use it for 2 weeks max)

TIA 🙂

Pumping advise

FTM to a 2 week old! I’m breastfeeding and then giving one formula bottle last in the evening before bed. I want to start expressing milk to give me some breathing room and also allow my partner to be more involved in feeding. I’m finding the idea of introducing pumping into my day quite overwhelming though. I don’t want to take milk away from my baby by pumping if he needs it during the day when being breastfeed.

Can anyone advise how I start pumping and when to do it? Thank you!

Sex post C section

Hi ladies I’m 4 weeks 5 days postpartum and I had a C section. I’m not bleeding properly anymore just some brownish discharge stuff that starts on and off. I’d like to do the deed with my partner; is it okay to do so or shall I wait the full 6 weeks. I feel up for it but also worried because the advice is 6-8 weeks.
