So i have a 13 month old boy who poops almost after ever meal. 3-4 times per day and ends up waking up hungry around 2-3 am and wont stop crying until given milk. Is this normal or should i see a doctor?

Learn more about our guidelines. My pediatrician said that two poops is cool, 3 is a blow, and 4 to go (meaning bring him in). He may be lactose intolerant. And as for the night wakenings, he could just be teething and looking for nom noms to cool him down. It’s a possibility but I ain’t no doctor 😂
That's normal in my experience
are they the proper texture?? my ped said like peanut butter texture is what’s expected at this age. are they consistently the same texture? are they huge almost blow outs or or are they smaller?
if theyre consistent and smaller poops i wouldnt worry about it too much. some babies poop more often because they dont empty their bowels with every poop.
if its diarrhea, liquidy, blow out style poops id definitely call.
my baby is currently waking up at 12-2 am i think its the 1 year sleep regression, completely normal and they should grow out of it.
@mj poops are usually like peanut butter texture and sometimes hard stone like but mostly normal poop. Hopefully he grows out of midnight milk.
