What is everyone doing for the son/daughters 3rd Birthday?

I’ll be honest I’m not a big social person, but all I’ve seen online from people I use to know from school/influencers etc just have these massive parties and it’s making me feel bad🫣
My sons first birthday I invited all my family for meal, his second birthday me&BD took him to a play place then just had my parents, bd parents&siblings for a meal, now this year he will be 3 he’s a lot more social/joins in activities etc he goes to play groups but doesn’t really have a little friend yet so it would just be a handful of kids (maybe 8 at most around his age) and his birthday is always shared with Halloween weekend so I’m wondering whether to do a little party at home or not….

I’ll be at work so we’ll have a family meal and birthday cake on the day and then we’ll do something fun at the weekend. She does not know enough people to justify having a party 😂

We do class parties for nursery pals and our friends with kids from 3. It's nothing major, just a local hall with a bouncy castle and soft play stuff or bikes, sandwiches from Costco, tonnes of fruit and a nice cake. It's a great way to make friends with the other parents.

Omg please don’t feel bad. I didn’t start doing any party or “celebrated” with others until my son was 3 cuz we finally had made enough friends over the last 3 yrs of his life so he actually had an actual social network of his own!
& so because I knew he would start “remembering” & forming memories, so this past birthday was his 1st party. I didn’t bother doing anything for his 1st or 2nd. Bt long story short, We had his party at our local park. U can rent out a pavilion (check with ur local city) or do what we I did which was just set up that party without using the park pavilion. It was fire truck/1st responder theme so I also got our cities Fire Firefighters to show up with the fire truck 🚒 the kids loved it. It wasn’t anything but bt it was special. We didn’t have to worry abt entertaining the kids or keeping them safe or paying for a venue cuz we were at the park :)

I did first birthdays and did the whole party and all that. But after that we do family vacations. Kids are not old enough for school and well family isn’t really an option. So we take that money and do a 4 day getaway. Once my littles are old enough for school and want to do a party then I’ll go all out! But for now I’ll stick to mini vacations☺️

My son is turning 3 in Sept and we r booking a pavilion at the park and making hamburger and hot dogs (his fav) and inviting over our immediate family members and our close friends who have little ones near his age

I just hosted at our house! Nothing big, just decorations, friends and pizza. The kids loved playing in his room together!

Scan needed at 33 weeks

Hi ladies! I just had a midwife appointment (I am 33+5)..the midwife was different to my usual midwife. She's requested I have a scan within 72 hours as she said baby is measuring a little small, however, she did say that it's likely nothing to worry about and it's probably just her measuring me a bit different to my usual midwife. Has anyone else had this? Am a bit worried although babys heartbeat and movements are completely fine.

Finding out gender

Has anyone found out the gender at a private scan at 14 weeks? And has this been accurate?

I found out at 17 with my first but I know a scan place that offers from 14/15 weeks and I’m impatient 😂🥲

Rolling milestone at 5 months - What’s typical ?

Good morning ladies,

My daughter will be 5 months old tomorrow, but there’s still no sign of her rolling. She does tummy time and loves lying on her mat, playing with hanging toys above her and to the sides, but she only lifts her legs and doesn’t seem interested in rolling or moving sideways yet.

Anyone else the same or have your babies already learnt how to roll yet ?

Thank you
