Dr. Dietrick with AHN

Hi Pittsburgh ladies, does anyone have experience with this doctor? I’ve never had a male doctor but he has really good reviews everywhere I look him up.

I’m with AHN. They seem to like to have you meet with multiple OBs since you never know who will be there to deliver. I had one appointment with Dietrick and he was fine. There are a lot of male doctors there - Ive had appts with him, bowman, and Logan. The only one I did not like was Logan, but I’ve heard others really like him so maybe just personal preference. I mostly have made appts with Erica Smith though and she has been great for me.

thank you! I’m switching from St Clair- I feel like they haven’t given me the best of care. They missed a ranging UTI and bronchitis somehow. One trip to Jefferson hospital and they had me on IV antibiotics and then oral antibiotics after being discharged.

I’m just nervous because I’ve NEVER had a male doctor, but I know the women at St. Clair aren’t giving me the care I need and are missing things.

oh that’s horrible! Yeah I’ve had a really good experience so far at Jefferson with AHN. I’ve also met with the midwives there - they have been super great as well. Happy to chat more if you want to know anything else!

I have Dr. Dietrick I absolutely love him he’s a very straight forward Doctor and doesn’t sugar cote anything I switched to him at the beginning of the 3rd trimester with my son and again now for my second pregnancy!

that’s such a relief to hear because I’m 31 weeks and people are saying I’m crazy for switching. I just know in my gut that St. Clair isn’t the place to have my baby so I’m switching even though I’m in my third trimester

almost everyone said the same thing to me for switching when I was pregnant with my son but honestly listen to your gut I wasn’t getting the right care with my first and second trimester with my son either which was why I switched and I’m so so glad I did and when I delivered at Jefferson ugh everyone was amazing and so helpful. As for never having a male Dr before I never did either until Dr. Dietrick and choosing him was honestly a great decision on my part
