The W word

I’ve gained 13 pounds so far and am 21 going on 22 weeks but the last two weeks have been aggressive where I see the scale go up 2-3 pounds per week. I’ve heard that baby grows fast around this time (20-30 weeks) it’s just alarming to see the scale go up so much. I eat consistently (pretty good habits) and mindfully but it’s like my subconscious has a directive to “grow this baby” and I continue to eat my meals and snacks versus maybe eating less the next day. How are others feeling? Any tips on managing the mindset aspect of pregnancy weight?

This is my second and I think I’m gaining slightly more this time. Last time I ended up gaining 25 and my weight gain recommendation was 25-35 lbs.

I gained a ton with my first . I was 145lbs before pregnancy, 190+ at the end. I’m 5’6 and when I tell you in was All in the belly I’m dead serious, I grew a little bit all around but not that much. . I honestly think it saved me pp cause I had a 10+ baby that was so hungry he was 15lbs before the end of the month. And I exclusively bf , so I loved having the extra weight, he ate it all off me including my butt, which I wasn’t thrilled about. But hey 🤷‍♀️ . Also my body changed im happier riding at 155lbs. Trust your body is my opinion. As long as you feel good , I wouldn’t fret . If your concerned you can always talk to a nutritionist or your gp.
