Sitting up

My son will be 7 months on the 7th, and he can't sit up on his own yet. He still has the tripod sit and can only sit up without help for maybe a second, then falls down.

my lo just turned 7 months she would sit up assisted starting at 6 months and then shortly after started sitting while supporting herself with her hands and just maybe 2 weeks ago fully started sitting up on her own with no support

My daughter started sitting up alone at 6 months. At 5 months, she was tripod sitting and falling.

Both of my boys sat up at 6 months but I didn’t expect them to do much until they were ready. My oldest (22 months) didn’t start walking until he was 15 months old but my youngest (7 months) might walk sooner than his brother because he always wants to follow him around. If Athena has any cousins around maybe have her around them as often as you can because I noticed babies will copy kids a lot more than adults for some reason. This is how my youngest learned how to crawl at 6 months and already trying to army crawl aka walk because he sees his brother running around

My daughter was born 11/6 and has been sitting tripod version since 4 months but only if I put her into the position, but 2 days ago I turned around and she had gotten herself into the sitting position and was playing with toys! Don’t stress, for all we know she could start sitting the moment you turn your back 😉

My son just turned seven months and he is just learning to set up unassisted. We were lucky enough to have a therapist come and they stated the best way to assist him with stability is to make sure that you spread her legs out and open and then put her hands on her thighs and that will encourage them to sit up and help them build those core muscles. but no matter what each baby progresses and learns differently. You’re doing a great job just keep encouraging her

6-9 months is the norm

He’s so cute! My daughter is turning 7 months this week and is not sitting up on her own yet.

My daughter started sitting up by herself about 5.5 months probably a lil earlier she’s about to be 7 months at the end of this month but she’s doing pretty good by herself she still falls for the most part
