Rash no fever

My little girl had this rash, it flares up in certain places then goes down. Docs said it was viral, but any second opinions? Pics in comments x

This looks very similar to a rash my daughter just got over having a couple weeks ago. We took her to the pediatrician and they told us it could potentially be something she came into contact with but more than likely just a viral infection that should start clearing up within 3-5 days and to monitor her for fever/loss of appetite/vomiting/etc, but sure enough within 5 days it started to clear up and had completely resolved so we’re assuming it was just viral. I know it’s not a “different” opinion than what you were told really but I hope it provides some sort of reassurance or something and I hope your little one recovers quickly!!

It went on her face chest back arms legs stomach as well. The only place it didn’t go for us was in her diaper area. Hope it helps. 🫶

thank you! It helps reassure me. Sometimes I feel like the word “viral” gets used by docs a lot when something else could be going on but I’m hoping that it is just viral and will clear up soon x

Girl I completely agree! I was lowkey freaking out but they did say it could be contact related but that could have been anything from the pollen outside to something a family member was wearing like a perfume or lotion so the chances of tracking that source down were slim to none. I’m just glad it hasn’t made another appearance as of late. If you are concerned it could be contact related I’d recommended keeping a log of people/places/food etc that she was/had on the day before/of her having a breakout!
