Ahh okk...this probably doesn't work for darker skinned folks. Never heard of it. I had my babies at home. I was checked once then when I felt ready to push, baby came!

it actually is something that doesn’t even appear visibly for every woman regardless of their complexion!

So my answer for op is that if it’s visible on your body, it can be utilized & is a decently accurate indicator, however you might be one of the women who do not produce a visible red or purple line

yes you’re correct! As a doula, I love this as an option instead of my clients getting cervical checks. My last client, I checked to see if she had it and she didn’t. But I’m going to keep checking with my other clients!
