I’m really struggling to feel as though I can keep my toddler 100% safe whilst I get ready.
I used to put him in his high chair with some toys and the TV on whilst I showered or did anything else that I couldn’t be in the same room as him for but now he can undo his straps and get out (he actually jumped out once! 🙈😩) so that isn’t an option.
He wakes at 5am most mornings so getting up before he wakes for a shower is not possible and I’m not a showering the night before kind of person.
Does anyone else have the same problem?
I have a 5 year told too but I can’t put the responsibility on her to look after him.
Any tips what works?

I take mine in the bathroom with me. Not sure what else you can do! 😂 she’s good as gold as I’m doing hair and makeup, she plays with my makeup brushes and copies me 😂🥹
But I do get the struggle, if she’s in a bad mood or about to have a nap I need get ready at the speed of light haha

I have to shower the night before as showering in the morning just wouldn’t be possible for us. I usually bring my skin care/makeup bag and sometimes clothes down stairs and get ready/make a start whilst he’s having breakfast, I also try and stuff my breakfast down and tidy at the same time 🤦🏼♀️ I have a perfectly good dressing table upstairs that doesn’t get used because he ends up causing absolute chaos whilst I try and get dressed up there and it’s just not worth the hassle 🤣 x

I take my little one in the bathroom while I shower. He has a little chair with an activity tray on it and I'll sit him in that (he can't escape). He doesn't like it much but will tolerate it for 10 mins or so. When I'm getting ready upstairs I just let him wander and play upstairs - our house is pretty small so I can always hear him/see him really. Sometimes I'll put him in his cot with some toys, he doesn't mind that for 10 mins or so.

My little girl just runs around upstairs while I’m in the shower (I just shut the gate at the top of the stairs, and shut the doors of any rooms I don’t want her to go into) or she just gets in the shower with me sometimes she puts her crocs on and gets in🤣

Mine is brought in the shower too! Everything was definitely easier when they were tiny😂

I put my daughter in her cot with her Toniebox and a few toys but I can also see her from the shower but if you can’t you could always take the monitor in the bathroom with you so you can still see him x

I get up before I get my daughter out of bed. Which does mean getting up a bit earlier but, it works.
Also have a 5 year old & she'll sometimes go into her baby sisters room in the morning. They'll just talk & sing to one another. Look at books & play with toys etc... My youngest is still in her cot, so she's quite safe there😅

I put him in the bath with me and sit in the bath for shower. I wouldn't leave him in another room I 0% trust him he's such a good climber and 90cm tall. He mainly is on my hip or nearby wailing at me for being picked up while getting ready so I almost never wear make up
