It may sound silly but does anyone else feel guilty or have anxiety over their partner who is so hands on? I feel guilty at how much he is doing and feel like I should be the one doing it or I need to do more then I worry about how I’ll cope when he goes back to work … so grateful to have him I just feel I don’t deserve it! 😩

yeah it’s the same, it’s strange any friends who have had babies I’ve said they need the partners support and it’s totally fine but when I’ve had mine I feel guilty for not doing it all myself even though I know I’m not supposed too!

Your words about not feeling good enough have made me cry because I feel the exact same 😢 I feel like she settles so much better for her dad and he seems so much more connected to her and I just feel like a human cow 🙈 but also feel guilty about how much he is doing, I’m 12 days post c-section and had a few complications so he’s had to do loads and I feel so guilty and also stressed about him going back to work!
yeah I feel they’ve bonded so well and because I’ve been so anxious worried whatever we’ve not bonded as much - c sections can be so hard to recover from I can’t even imagine it’s hard to tell yourself but honestly nothing to feel guilty for you’ll be doing amazing we’ll all be doing amazing on this crazy journey it feels impossible at times but need to try be kinder to ourselves xx

I've had the same feelings but we are a team, I've had to try and accept that we have our roles atm. I'm EBF and my partner is working from home as well as doing pretty much all the housework and cooking but at the end of the day, I am feeding and looking after our child all day too and all night. This is how it is and it won't be like it forever. I feel very fortunate to have him. It shows you're a good person by thinking about him but try and give yourself some grace. You've just had a baby, and it takes a lot of energy to look after them and be responsible for keeping them alive with milk that your body makes!
