A lot of stuff I barely used lol bring toiletries, comfy loose fitting clothes, and (depending what the rules are at your hospital) baby clothes. Long phone charger and something to do is key. Nurses will make of break your stay too. Mine were angels and kept me supplied with juice and water but you might want to bring some Gatorade or juice and a water bottle. Also snacks. I didn't get a meal until I gave birth so protein bars or similar were great. My room had a dvd player so find out your amenities!

And hubby isn't a patient so he will need snacks and also to know where the cafeteria is and their hours lol but that's not hospital bag worthy I guess

Find out if your hospital takes newborn pictures and decide if you want them there. If so, take a little of makeup and an outfit you feel pretty on. I did mine with a bathrobe that I felt good about and just mascara.

A lot i didn’t use lol.
Now for what I did
Me: going home outfit, shower stuff, heating pad, blanket, pillow, phone charger, and my mini fridge that holds 6 cans.
Baby: going home outfit, all 3 of the pjs I packed him, a outfit for the day we was at the hospital, a blanket, Wipes, and paci.
Husband: 2 outfits, phone charger, blanket, pillow, and a book.

Check with the hospital to see what they provide as well. Mine cover everything for me and baby besides wipes and paci.

Pretty much the same as what everyone else has already said here!

Comfy clothes for you and baby, snacks, phone chargers, blankets for you and baby, my favorite pillow, bring your own toiletries (the hospital usually provides shampoo/soap, but it's nicer to have yours), hair brush/ties, and check with your hospital to see if they provide witch hazel for your pads post delivery! Luckily mine did, but I'll be bringing extra this time too.

My hospital provided diapers and wipes while we were there, but it's always better to bring your own just in case too. I think this time I'll also be bringing a heating pad for my lower back, and a white noise machine :)
