My LB turned 3 months yesterday had his 12 week jabs at lunchtime, he has been really unsettled and I have given him 3 doses of calpol to help. I just checked his temp now and it is showing 38 degrees. I’m confused if this is classed as a high fever at 3 months or is it 39 degrees?

39 degrees as 3 months xx

I think the difference is that you know what is causing the fever. If you take him to the doctor they'll just tell you to give him acetaminophen and that its from the vaccines.

I agree with the above ^ Because baby has had the vaccines, they’re known to cause a temperature but anything significantly high (above 39+) I would say just to give your doctor a call for some advice/support. Whilst babies can have Calpol, they can also have Ibuprofen for pain so I used a combination of both but Calpol should control a temperature!
Thank you everyone for your help, I gave him the full 4 doses of calpol in 24 hours and it’s brought it down.
Out of interest ibuprofen how long do you leave it between calpol doses? Just for future reference

I mean, I give Ibuprofen and Calpol at the same time (just like adults) but the length of time between Ibuprofen tends to be 6-8 hours
thank you 😊

Ibuprophen is not allowed until after 6 months unless you've been told by your doctor.
