I’m using the elvie pump 4 times a day and I’m not really breastfeeding anymore as my baby keeps falling asleep and isn’t swallowing much 🥲 she has a tongue tie and a shallow latch I’ve seen so many lactation consultants and they have said to see an osteopath as they don’t think she opens her mouth wide enough and has a tight jaw.
I’m only managing to get 100-120ml in the morning and then 40-50ml on the other pumps throughout the day. How can I increase my milk supply I’m 5 weeks pp. is it too late to increase it? I have a toddler too who keeps me busy and wants to play all the time so I can’t really use a hospital grade pump where I need to plug it in. Im on antibiotics for an infection not sure if that can decrease your supply.
If I pump in the night at 3am will my 7am pumping session (which is usually where I get the highest amount) will that reduce significantly?
Thanks in advance

Hi mama 💖
I know your days must be super busy busy busy and also you’re recovering pp too 💙 But you’ll definitely need to pump a lot more than 4 times a day especially since you’re only 5 weeks pp you’ll need to pump every time your little one feeds on a bottle to let your body know how much milk your body needs to make xx

Supply goes with babies' demand, so if baby is not being put to breast, ideally you should be pumping every 2-3 hrs. It is exhausting. Believe me, I know. Antibiotics didn't affect my supply much when I was on them, but then again I was on ones they said were safe for it. Eating oatmeal helped my supply usually and I also took some supplements to also help.

Please try power pumping, that has done wonders for me. You can refer a youtube video and see how to do that. People recommended fenugreek seeds too but I haven’t tried that myself. I am on antibiotics too for mastitis and my supply hasn’t been disturbed by it. Xx
