What's your living situation?
Ugh I always think about housing. Not sure whether to live here buy a condo or move out of state. I work for the city, great pay and benefits. But everything is expensive here and not sure if it's the right place to raise kids. What state would you recommend moving to? I want to continue living in a city but not as busy as nyc

I’d say Atlanta or DC. I really like those places because they have the city vibe but they aren’t as fast paced. DC is expensive tho
My husband and I are from Queens but moved out to Bayonne NJ and we love it here, it's very family oriented. We have to stay close to the city as well because of my husband's job. It's a little more suburban here but downtown Jersey City and Hoboken are like a 15,20 minute drive. We're also like a 30,45 minute travel into the city
Going to move to Dallas by the end of the year. Housing is incredibly affordable and both my husband and I’s careers pay the same as NY. Not to mention super family friendly and no income tax.
NYC is definitely no longer the place to raise a family. We have a 6 year old and are due in a few months with #2. We are moving over 1,500 miles away before the baby comes. My husband has an absolutely amazing paying job and we honestly can afford to buy a house here but we aren’t. No matter how good of a job you have always remember you are replaceable at work and they really don’t care about you especially if it’s city or state. You’re just a number. There’s no point. It’s expensive, severely overcrowded and so much more I can say. It is just no longer worth it. Also, everyone from the 5 boroughs are moving to NJ so that’s just as bad. Down south is definitely up and coming.
