We made the middle name up which is little girls 2 girl cousins

I love it, however I personally only choose to do so for their middle names. I gave my daughter the middle name August to honor the birth month of my brother, stepmom, and aunt who passed away. My son’s middle name is my dad’s first name to honor his great impact on my life. The reason I wouldn’t do this with a first name is because my husband hates being associated with his family members so often, especially since finding out his family members aren’t good people. His name is Neno, his dad’s name is Neno, and his grandfather’s name is Neno. His great grandfather is Nino and his great great grandfather is Antonino. My husband has been very vocal about how every child deserves a name that they can feel special with, and it’s important to us that our children feel valued as individuals not tied to their family. It’s all personal preference of course.
