It’s a long one I’m going to try and keep short
Me my partner and 2 year old moved back in with my mum and dad to save we have been here 4 months
We’ve always had a good relationship there’s been a argument in the past but over that
Well I feel like I’m learning that my mums actually quite controlling and just not nice
She’s amazing with our little one but forever digging out mine and my partners relationship
He works full time goes golf every Saturday really early so we have the rest of the day and occasionally goes football (to play it ) on a Tuesday night
Now all I’m getting is comments about how I’m doing everything (I’m not) I’m quite independent and like doing things myself also I like my own space and time
Anyway we had a row this morning as she is just looking for an argument since last night when he went football
I’ve been told he lives the life of a single man 🙃 sorry I thought that’s someone that’s down the pub etc
And how she doesn’t like it i let him do to much
And I actually happy because from an outsider she doesn’t think so
She’s just mad controlling if he goes and sees his mum or dad she’s pissed off asking why his going there I just have never know anything like it I haven’t lived with her for 6 years and didn’t realise this is what she’s like now
I honestly can’t cope because me and my partner have a really good relationship
And I’m convinced my mum is just trying to cause something
She’s not perfect my dad also loves golf but is hardly ever aloud to go as there’s to many jobs she has for him to do
On another note I also get all sorts of comments thrown at me about my job what I wear
I just feel like I’m at breaking point and I don’t know what to do

Ah hun this sounds tough! My partner is the same. I've always been super independent and we both live our own separate social lives. He also goes football and golf occasionally. This is usually one day on the weekend. But my husband makes sure he has quality time with my bub and me during the week or the day he's not out. There is nothing wrong with being happy with the situation just because it's different to your mums expectations
