Formula feeds in 24hr

My 5 week old baby has recently dropped to 7 feeds in a 24hr period some days due to longer stretch at night. Feeds 3 hours in days but can go 4-6 hours at night. Is this okay? Or do is 8 feeds a must? I feed on baby’s cues/demand. Lots of wet nappies. Seems content drinking 3-4oz each time sometimes may drop to 2.5oz. So roughly 600-700ml per day. Decided today to stop tracking on huckleberry app as I’m driving myself insane and it’s just making me feel more anxious I think tracking all the time!

My little boy was one having 1 feed overnight around that age (12hour nights) and going around 4 hours in the day, as long as they follow there own centile curve and have plenty of wet nappies its fine x

I was exactly like you I used huckleberry for my son and honestly it drove me crazy and wasn’t healthy so at the end I only used it for getting an idea of when they needed to go down for naps. He’s now almost 3. My 6 wk old now is on 5 bottles a day every 3/4hrs and is taking 5oz, now sometimes she’ll have 4 and others she’ll take the full 5oz. They say go by your child’s cues , now my daughter is pretty good at sleeping but we do our best during the night to stir her for a feed and even then she’ll only take 2 maybe 3 oz before she’s deep asleep again. To me 8 feeds is too much what does your formula tub say to give them? Plus my HV says don’t let them go any longer than 5hrs for a feed if they’re not hungry.

Sounds absolutely fine to me, I wouldn’t push them to eat more than they want or need - every 3 hours in the day and then longer stretches at night is exactly what you want x

I would just let them do their own thing if they've passed their birth weight, have plenty of wet nappies etc. My son is 8 weeks and last night did 10pm til 5am, the night before did 2am til 7.30am and normally does only 3 to 4 hours in the day. He then does weird and different patterns every night in preparation to drop bottles of a night. It drives me mad because I cant track but Ive learned to just accept it. He currently has 180mls/6oz per bottle in the day and then of a night its around 30 to 90mls.

Help! First time mum -

I have a 4 month old and now all of a sudden when he’s been asleep for 1hr30/2hrs he will wake up screaming (high pitched) I’ve tried winding him sometimes that helps, I’ve tried bicycle legs & bringing his knees up but that doesn’t seem to help but he brings his knees up himself sometimes but nothing happens. I’ve noticed since the 4 month mark he has started to struggle passing wind downwards! Any tips?

Bath Time

Help! My baby is 3 and a half weeks old. Every bath she goes in quite happy but will only stay like this for a very few mins, if I try to clean her or move her we have tears and after a few mins the same. It's like she is scared. Our current baby bath is quite big should I try a different one? Looking for any suggestions as want her to enjoy bath time not be upset and I'm scared I'm going to make her hate it😢💗

Breastfeeding

Does it ever feel better? The actual feeding part of it is going really well and baby boy is growing so well. I’m struggling with how my boobs feel day to day - it’s really getting me down most days. The let downs make me feel awful and sounds silly but, I am also really missing not wearing a bra! 9 weeks postpartum and still getting fairly engorged, even with comfort pumping.

Any advice or just shared stories would help. I’m so torn between carrying on because I enjoy the feeding side of it or switching to formula.

Big nursing bras!

I’m looking for recommendations for good nursing bras for bigger breasted ladies!

I’m currently in a 38H which seems to be the biggest size done at M&S (UK based mama here) and it’s snug and not as supportive as I’d like. When I look online, they mainly seem to be sized S, M, L, XL etc rather than bra sizes.

Any recommendations please?

Strange question

Hello. I would identify myself as asexual but yes i am married and i have a child. But now that ive had my baby. I think its solidified that im done having sex. I feel bad as my partner keeps asking me but i just dont want to. Any advice on what i can do? Any other asexual moms out there? I guess this could be confusing but im not huge on being bound by a label. I have just always felt it represented me best since highschool.
