Has your boyfriend or husband’s cousin or sister or aunt ever said
a rude comment about your baby and you bite your tongue and she says something again the next time you see her and you still bite your tongue and you had to see her again

What did you say to her? Or if it was the second time you see her and she says a rude/smart ass comment again. What did you say?

My youngest has prader willi syndrome, I heard all kinds of comments about it. I just used it as a teaching moment.

I also heard plenty when it came to naming them. They have princess names, Rapunzel and Anastasia. For my oldest, Rapunzel, it was the worst. I even had suggestions as to what would be better for her. Now that she's gotten older, no one says a thing.

I just have comebacks in the form of education.

No but I would say please don’t get in the habit of being unkind to my two year old/insert age, I wouldn’t want you to get comfortable saying things that would hurt their feelings because that’s cruel for one and for two, I won’t tolerate it, and I won’t teach him to tolerate it either. That means if he disrespects you in the future, his behavior will not get the same level of correction that it would if you were a respected adult in his life.

This is a warning because if I have to use you as an example of a bully you’re going to be treated exactly the way we treat bullies. Since you don’t ask yourself how you’d feel in his shoes you can ask yourself how you’d feel in that scenario and think carefully before you choose whether or not to talk smack to my kid again.

I mean there are softer approaches but I don’t have time for my no’s to be read as negotiable when it comes to my child so we gettin a lil spicy.
