My son has always had really curly hair but since getting it cut it's not curly anymore
Have we ruined his hair? Will the curls never come back? Any advice please? More photo of before and after hair cut in comments section

If it’s no longer curly it was never going to stay curly regardless of whether you had it cut or not so it’s nothing you’ve done.
Having a hair cut doesn’t change your hair type from curly to straight.
It’s quite a lot shorter so it may be that it’s too short to curl and they may come back if it gets longer again, but again, however it is is however it would’ve been regardless
Curls tend to show up more defined with length, if his hair is curly, it’ll get curly again as length comes in!
Cutting your hair won’t change the texture in which your hair grows back in
