Transitioning to straw Cups!
I’m trying to give straw cups to my 9 month baby but he won’t take it. I tried giving him a sippy cup with water but he chokes on it. I’ve tried at least 4 straw cups including the first years squeeze and sip but he just plays with it or gets angry. (I’m trying due to hearing that at his next appt they’re gonna ask if he takes a straw cups) All advice welcomed 🙏 😅.

Put some yogurt or apple sauce on the tip of the straw :)

I have a 9 month old too, and she really struggled with the first years sip and squeeze. I voiced the concern to her pediatrician and she said whichever bottle she uses or favors, they should make a sippy cup option. She also encouraged using those small cups (I can’t remember why she said that helped). And I kept going back to the first years squeeze and she finally has gotten the hang of it where I don’t have to squeeze it for her anymore!
