I have 2 boys - then tried for a third baby and had 3 miscarriages in 18 months. I was lucky to have a healthy baby boy last year and just remembered I took baby aspirin and progesterone.
I believe.
Had a 12 weeks scan yesterday to be told there was no heartbeat.
If only I took the same precautions as last time this one wohld have survived.
I don’t think I can do this again but my husband wants to try.
I am also 40 next year with a high BMI. Would just like a chat response and some words x

Hello. I’m sorry this is happening. I have 1 boy and have had 3 miscarriages over 9 months. I’ve never been offered progesterone or aspirin. Please don’t blame yourself. Progesterone and aspirin aren’t a guarantee at saving a pregnancy.
Do what you feel is best for you 🤍

I've had three miscarriages in the last year and took aspirin and progesterone for the last pregnancy. We did tests and found out that the miscarriage happened due to chromosomal abnormality (at 10 weeks) so the progesterone and aspirin would never have made any difference. As Shannon said it's not a guarantee. It depends on what has caused the miscarriage. I'm not sure I fully understand how it works but the Tommy's website is good for jnfo. I'm so sorry you're going through this, try to mind yourself.

this! Progesterone and aspirin only work if the issue is low progesterone which for most miscarriages isn’t the case.
