Evren for a boy?

It means “cosmos” “universe” “all that exists.” It’s Turkish in origin (which we are not) however, my husband works in the aerospace industry so is has the potential to be cool if it’s not too “out there” so to speak. Thoughts?

It's different but not totally bizarre so I like it! Do you have a middle name in mind if you do go with Evren?

Avatar

not yet! My husband’s name is Christopher and we’ve considered using that as middle but it’s all up in the air as of now! Boy names are so hard! 😅

I really like it!

Evren Christopher has a good sound to it!

We called our little boy Erin, could also spell that Eren or you've got Evan too - we loved the sound of Erin and it's different for a boy but not too different, he really suits it. Love this type of name for a boy ⭐️

Erin means Peace 😌

Evren is so different and has such cool kid vibes if it's all you can think about it's the one and Evren Christopher is very cute

i love Evren - especially knowing meaning of the name. i don't think it's too out there - it's different, but reminds me of names like Evan, Esben and Ethan with a more unusual twist. 💙

just a suggestion, but i love the idea of Evren Kit - Kit being a variation of the name Christopher!

I like it in turkish but will you be pronouncing it the correct way or just the way its spelt?

Avatar

what’s the correct pronunciation? As I understand it, in English it’s typically pronounced Ev-ren, while in Turkish it’s closer to Eh-vren, with a slightly rolled “R.” My husband can’t roll his Rs at all, and honestly, I think sticking to the natural English pronunciation makes more sense—it’s intuitive and avoids confusion.

Kit is actually soo cute with it!

I love it!

reading it in English id pronounce it more like ev-ren (like wren) whereas Turkish would be closer to ev-ran. I do think both sound cute though

oh I see! I like the Turkish pronunciation too! Thanks for the information, I wouldn’t have ever known. 😊
