What size is everyone bringing for their coming home outfit?

Was told my girl was in the 90th percentile expected to be around 8-9 pounds but experienced moms told me to cautious listen to that so i brought a newborn and 0-3m outfit just in case. Babygirl was born 7.14 pounds and fit the newborn outfit just fine

Honestly they can be so off with the charts I would bring one of each, newborn, up to 1 month & 0-3 .. both of mine were bigger babies (9lb1 & 8lb13) both went straight into up to 1 month - never used newborn x

My baby was an 8lbs 4oz and newborn fit well. We packed newborn and under 1 month.

My boy was 99th percentile and born at 9lbs. Still was in newborn! We had to go out and buy more newborn/first size as we only thought he needed 0-3!

My 7.15lb girl fit newborn clothes for a week then 0-3 clothes for 2 months 😅

I've got newborn & up to 1 mth and have always found these fine with previous babies whereas 0-3 always drowned them (all previous babies were 7lb something at 40+ weeks)

I had tiny baby, newborn and 2 0-1 as my best Friend had an 8lber and said she was in newborn for ages but my boy was 8lb 13oz and he squeezed into 1 newborn skipped tiny baby and had to send other half out to collect the 0-1 stuff from home as he was so long and he was in for a few days so just be prepared for all outcomes I thought I was but didn’t need the 8 sets of smaller clothes and only packed 2 0-1, he outgrew that within weeks and has been in 0-3 since 4 weeks old after buying more 0-1 as that was the size I had the least of but they don’t last in it, well mine didn’t anyway 😂 my baby came out 91st percentile for weight and 97th for height

It varies a lot between brands tbh! My kids were both predicted at 97th centile all the way through. One came home in newborn (8lb 6oz) and the other came home in 0-3 (9lb 9oz).

0-3 is so huge!!! I don’t know how any baby can fit in this straight away 😂 I know almost 10 lbs babies who still fit into newborn when they were born.
I guess it depends on where you buy them from though. I found some places newborn were the same size as other places 0-1.

He was 5 pounds 8 ounces at birth 🥰 ( and not expecting that tiny either, not iugr at all )

I brought one new born and one 0-3 cause he was supposed to be big. However he came early premie fit perfectly at 6 lbs so I had a friend run and pick something cute for him to come home in (she even got me an outfit to match)

My son barely fit 0-3when he was born, big and chunky at 9lbs and pretty long, 3-6 fit him a lot better. (He was in the higher precental) My daughter came home in newborn but not for long and she was two months in nicu at that.

My little girl was 6lb6 when born and she was only in newborn for around 2 weeks (it was big for her) before I went into 0-1 - she was under the 50th at my measurings - it’ll probably fit just not for long xx

9lb 11oz boy went home in 0-1, 0-3 drowned him x

Bring a mix! My first could fit in newborn for a long time but my friend went straight to 3months!

We used Tiny Baby (00000) for the first 2 weeks and we had a 90+%tile 8 pounder x

My baby was significantly smaller than everyone thought I was going to be. I had to send my wife out to get premie clothes.

I took newborn and up to 1 month but ended up needing tiny baby as my daughter was early 4 weeks and weighed 5lbs 5oz x

Honestly unless you’ve been told they’re on the bigger side I wouldn’t bother with taking 0-3 at all. My son came home in newborn but we actually had to go out and get first size because he was smaller than we thought and he was 7lb 10. 0-3 didn’t fit for the first 2-3 weeks

Baby was on the 92nd centile, 8lb 10 oz and none of his newborn fit. 0-1 month was perfect (where the label said around 10lb)

I bought every size but the one he fit in ( tiny baby) and that’s what he wore for a month , so I would get one in each size just in case but keep the tags in it as that way you can take them back if they don’t fit

Best thing I did was put a variety of sizes in a different bag in the car so I knew all bases were covered if needed. Didn’t have to lug them into hospital but knew they could be grabbed if needed

I was told my boy was measuring 6 lb 13 oz 2 weeks before he came so I brought a size newborn a size 0-3 and one 3-6 just in case he came out 6 lb 2.8 oz and was swimming in the newborn so next time I would definitely do the same and add a preemie as well

My eldest was 9lbs 6oz and he was in newborn x

I took a couple of first size and 0-3. I was told she was bigger than average.
She was born 25th percentile.
0-3 is actually a big size for a brand new baby. She was born at 7lb and come home in 0-1 month and it was big on her.

i’m planning on packing both sizes!
