Arden for a boy or a girl?

I agree that it’s unisex but I kind of think of it as a more masculine form of Ardith? I think it’s beautiful!

Definitely a unisex name. It’s more common for girls but I named my son Arden and I don’t regret saving it for a girl. I love his name so much because it’s not a common name you hear. It’s unique but not in an odd way lol. People hear it and just go “Oh, that’s a name we don’t hear at all and cute!”

I also love the names Artemis, Adan (Ah-Dan), Auden, Arlen/Arlyn, and I’m weird for this one but even Arson/Arsen/Arsyn is cute lol. I even considered Ardyn if my son would’ve been a girl instead.

Nickname for my son is Ardy but you can do Ari, DD, DenDen, Denny..

I chose the name cause it’s unique but also we lived in sacramento, ca where our mall is called Arden Fair Mall. Not the main reason but once I saw the name I was like omg, I can’t believe I never thought of this as a name & just a mall lol. But also I was searching for earthy and unisex names and Arden means Great Forest.

i agree. to me, Arden is one of the unisex names that i don't think better suits a either gender - i can fully imagine a boy or a girl named Arden! and as a name, i really like it.

I think I’ve heard it more for girls but works well for either! I also really like the name Auden 🤍

Lots of boys names ending in “-en” though I believe any name could be used for either if you’re brave enough

According to social security administration Arden ranks at 943 for boys and hasn’t ranked in the top 1000 for girls since 2019 where it was 951. So officially, Arden is used more often for boys. (If you’re in the US)
