Nuna mixx next car seat compatibility

I have purchased our Nuna mixx pram secondhand however am buying a new car seat. However I haven’t heard any good reviews regarding the Nuna car seat. Does anyone have any recommendations that will be compatible with the pram?

We used the Nuna Pipa and the Mixx next and it was great. We now use the Nuna rava because kiddo is bigger. If we had a second we would do exactly the same. I know some people who brought the attachments and used the uppa baby mesa.

I don’t know any other that’s compatible but I had the Nuna Mixx next and the matching car seat and no problems whatsoever x

We use the Cybex Cloud G with our Mixx next. We got our pram secondhand and it came with the car seat adapters.

I have only watched YouTube reviews of the nuna car seats specifically the exec is the one I’m interested in. Although, it is separate from the stroller I am looking at which is the nuna mix next. From the reviews my husband and I saw, the features are superb for growing with baby.

Used to work in baby shops, majority of car seats will technically fit as they use universal adaptors, and the nice thing with Nuna adaptors is that you can adjust the angle. The only issue you may have is warranty issues as they might not cover any damages/breaks etc but the actual adaptor is the same fitting :)

What are the bad reviews on the Nuna car seat? I had the Mixx next system and the pipa car seat and base, it was great. Planning on using it with our second. Would be interested to hear the bad comments, I’ve only got great things to say about Nuna in general c

We have the nuna pipa lite and have both the uppababy vista and the nuna mixx stroller. Love the nuna pipa car seat and now have the Rava for my toddler.

I'm curious about the bad reviews also, I loved my Nuna travel system inc the car seat ☺️

I also have the Nuna travel system although not used it yet! Haven’t heard anything bad about it x

We use the cybex cloud t with ours. One side seems to go in better than the other but very happy with it. It's got one of the highest ratings for safety which helped with our decision and it lies flat.

Try some furniture polish on the adaptors 🥰

The majority of car seats use the same adaptors (normally called Maxi-Cosi or universal adaptors) so you've got lots of choice. I really like BeSafe seats, but other brands to consider are Britax, Avionaut, Cybex, Maxi-Cosi, Axkid, or possibly Joie but some of their seats are much better than others

I have the Nuna Pipa car seat and it gave me a lot of anxiety as a newborn. The shape of the seat means the baby’s head is pretty much touching their chest which meant I was freaking out the whole time. Now at 1 month old and my son is a bit bigger it’s fitting better. I can see there’s people complaining about this same thing on mumsnet:

this is essentially a lot of the comments I have seen. That it is not great for a newborn because of the chin to chest thing

I have been looking at cybex but wasn’t sure if it would fit! So glad to hear it did!

We had the Nuna mixx next and pippa car seat. The seat was terrible for us, but I emailed Nuna because LB was chin to chest and slipped down every time no matter what we did, and they asked for photos ect and they sent newly designed inserts as the have had so many complaints about it. I’m not sure why they haven’t put these inserts into the car seats as standard. They were much much better. But once he outgrew the inserts he looked like he was sat in a bucket again, so we just bought a whole new car seat at this point. Wish we’d tried them out prior and not just sold on travel systems.
Not sure what’s compatible with the pram sorry but I know there are options for that! It is a good sturdy pram, but we bought a different foot muff during winter because the one that comes with it isn’t very good either, LB was able to kick it off constantly. We now use a different pram altogether that we got for holiday 😂 feel the travel system world stole our money 🤣💸 x

is this what you used and it was compatible with the pram?

we didn’t get the Nuna pram, we have the Peg Perego Ypsi (also looove it) but you could try the aftermarket Nuna adapters. It looks like some are out there though Nuna makes it really hard to attach another brand. You could always see if you could grab the peg perego or any other chassis on the secondhand market cheap for the carseat stage and use the Mixx as your little one grows! The mixx does flat lay so you can put baby in it pretty young. I started using our stroller seat at 3 months. I know that’s not the perfect answer you’re looking for but if you want to avoid a nuna carseat, nuna just makes it super hard!
