Not necessarily helpful but I just went cold turkey as soon as I found out I was pregnant. Had been vaping for 2 years and smoked cigarettes for 6 years before that. It's definitely not easily but I'd tried before and never succeeded but baby was the push I needed ❤️ didn't help my partner still smoked so I had to ask him not to smoke anywhere I could see him 😂 but honestly, take it a day at a time to start with and once you get past a week or 2 it gets a lot easier! You'll probably feel really shit the first week, headaches etc but once you push through that it's so much easier ❤️ something that helped me was chewing really minty (regular not nicotine) gum every time I felt the urge as it kept my mouth busy and the I think the sharpness helped

Message me if you need any support, no judgement here you're clearly trying to do what's best for baby but it's definitely difficult ❤️ x

I have no advice really, I was chain vaping before pregnancy too and my body luckily did the opposite when I got pregnant and completely rejected vaping, just woke up one morning and didn’t want it anymore. But I did get cravings during pregnancy which were hard and now 9 months pp I’m back to vaping again which I’m annoyed about because I quit for so long so I never should have touched it again 😵‍💫 I know someone who’s just had her second baby and she vaped through both her pregnancies. I’d say speak to your midwife when you have your first appointment and maybe they can recommend some things to stop the cravings. Maybe go down to a lower mg and then nicotine free liquids and then cut it out slowly but if you don’t want to stop altogether that’s also your choice and no one can tell you otherwise

I vaped heavily 3/4 years and I quit cold turkey when I found out I was pregnant with my son and stupidly picked the habit back up after he was born, now cold turkey since January and going strong (now pregnant again) just gotta really focus on the positives and the good you’re doing for baby by quitting! I found gum/mints helped me too and sounds weird but I used to make a fist and inhale air through the hole and exhale and found it helped🤷🏼‍♀️😂

I’m in the exact same boat as you. It’s been really hard trying to just stop, I’ve tapered down on it and only hit it a few times a day and hopefully I’ll be able to just completely stop in a few days. It’s HARD but we’ve got this. Remember that not everyone is the same and it’s okay that you’re struggling with this. 🫶🏻

Obviously everyone is different and hopefully you find something that works for you as it can be hard. I tried just cutting down when i find out i was pregnant but still having my vape around made that really hard as sometimes this just fuels the habit. In the end i gave my vape to my partner so i didnt have it on hand. I found chewing gum was helpful or grabbing little snacks of things like fruit or nuts when I got the urge. Im trying to cut down again as i started vaping again after giving birth and ive found letting your vape battery run out and just using it for the action and not actually getting anything from it can be helpful too.

To be fair, I found out I was pregnant at 8 weeks, was still vaping but stopped after I found out, but the minute I came out my section I vaped

I’m just hitting 3 months with this pregnancy and I literally vaped 2 months of it I’ve been smoking 🍃 the whole 3 I’ve been trying to stop too it’s an bit harder for vaping i just replaced it with an oral satisfaction to stop weather it’s good or just something to put in my mouth 😂😂😂

i was in the same position as you and i just had my baby 2 weeks ago, i now find vapes completely disgusting and the best thing i can tell you is to take 3 hits on day 1, 2 hits on day 2, and one final hit on day 3. that first trimester is the most crucial for development, keep telling yourself that while over the 3 days you mentally prepare yourself to cut the habit, flavored toothpicks on amazon work great if you need something extra.

With my first I went cold turkey. Anytime I craved it all I could think about was the side effects it would definitely give my baby (since its proven your baby will definitely be affected). After the first 2 weeks it got way easier. I had been smoking cigarettes since 13, vaping since 20 and got pregnant at 21

I smoked cigarettes as well as vaping before finding out I was pregnant.. I quit the cigarettes but continued vaping, I’ve cut down to a very low dose nicotine strength.. and it hasn’t caused me or my baby any issues throughout this pregnancy. My midwife has never said anything negative about it either x

I also did vape occasionally whilst pregnant and my midwife said vaping wouldn’t cause any harm to my baby. She’s 4 months now and healthy and I’ve never had any complications with her at all. It’s definitely not recommend at all but just giving you my experience x

Im almost 11 weeks and when I saw my midwife a few weeks ago she said that she’s not that concerned about vaping as they give vapes to people who are smokers during pregnancy to try and avoid the more harsh chemicals such as the tar and the other thousands of chemicals in cigarets. I do want to stop because it’s one of the things that worry’s me. I did quit for 2 days but people kept giving me their vapes and it was really hard to say no when I was craving it and so I have reduced it down. I’m going to try to do the method, 3 today, 2 tomorrow, 1 the day after and see if I can stop from there. But it’s hard when my partner always uses one in front of me. I know your struggle. I just wish I had some better advice.
