Hip Pain Relief

Any suggestions for hip pain when side sleeping? I normally sleep on my back, but at 32 weeks that’s not an option. I’ve been seeing a chiropractor for ages and have all the pregnancy pillows, but nothing helps. If I’m laying on my side, the hip I’m laying on is excruciatingly painful, top hip is fine. When I switch sides, it switches which hip hurts. It’s fine during the day, sitting, walking, etc, but I’m exhausted and sleeping in a garden chair at night as that’s the only way I can recline and get a few hours of sleep 😩🫠 This is my second baby and soooo much worse than the first. Any suggestions welcome! Thanks in advance!

Have you tried homeopathy? Maybe something like arnica could help. Have you got a tens machine or maybe some massage before bed could help?

When you use the pregnancy pillows, how well supported is your bump?

Is your mattress too firm for you at the moment? Maybe try lying on a fluffy duvet to see if the extra cushioning helps?

I’m a chiro myself so feel free to PM and I have a wonderful homeopath who does consults via zoom that I can pass her details on as well.

I know you’ve said you’ve tried all the pillows, but do you make sure to have a pillow in the space between your feet so your hips are aligned with them? And also a pillow/wedge behind your bum so you can lean on that instead of putting pressure on the hips? It’s such a horrible pain! I hope you find a solution ☺️
