When is "safe" for LO to have a bonnet at bedtime?

My LG just turned 1, she was born with a full head of hair & her coils are absolutely gorgeous. I'm massively aware of how messy, frizzy & tangled her hair is getting at night. Just wondering when it's appropriate & safe for her to get a bonnet?
Also, I feel so dumb asking, but what are the better ones? I'm based in the UK, I have curly/wavy hair & my LGs dad is Jamaican so her hair is coming out super curly.

Hey, never too early for a bonnet. You can get her a silk or satin one. Make sure it fits or get one you can tie to secure it

She’ll be fine to have a bonnet now - baby’s can wear bonnets after 6 months during their nap times but not there full nights sleep but between 0-6 months baby’s should not wear these sleeping!! After 12 months baby’s can wear bonnets to bed as the risks of SIDS has decreased dramatically by this point x

My girl is almost 18 months and she will not keep one on her head she keeps pulling it off! 😭 she sleeps on a silk mattress sheet to help protect her hair

You can get satin bands to attach to the mattress for cots or a sewn in satin band on the sheets

My baby is 3 months and I’ve been using a bonnet for two months. I got one that has a draw string so I can decide how tight it is. It’s also a newborn one so it’s super small I found it on Etsy.

+ satin inserts in her car seat and pillow
