Are gro eggs accurate? Mine is always out compared to our heating thermostat by quite a lot, sometimes up to 2 degrees?! Which should I go by 🤷♀️

Our Gro egg is always 2c different to the baby monitor temp too. I’ve heard alot of people say similar! Xx

I think it depends on where it's placed in the room.
So the thermostat measurement is being measured in a different spot to where the gro egg is etc. It can only measure the temperature at the end of its little stick.
Mine measures differently if it's nearer the window etc. it's not going to be completely infallible, but neither is the met office temperature forecast or the one on your car etc. Just depends on where it's being measured.

they are right next to each other!

They’re notoriously inaccurate, use it as a guide but defs don’t take as gospel

I thought the monitor is always shows a couple degrees higher than is true. My gro egg says the same as our house thermostat but people’s monitors (including ours) always seem to overestimate the temp

i personally got rid of mine, i felt it was inaccurate and just making me paranoid and i found it was different to the baby monitor and the house thermostat.
i honestly just judge it by how warm the room is to me, and remove a layer or two for my boy rather than doing it specifically by the temp. all the guidance is different online for it too!

Our groegg shows the same as the star bath thermometer, so hopefully they’re both right😅 our monitor shows 1-2 degrees higher than the egg says though, so generally ignore that one!
