Milk from straw cup!!

Ok my baby will NOT leave his bottle and now that he’s 18 mo we need to get him off of it - both for his teeth before bed but also because it’s a rule in his new room at daycare that he has to do sippy cup or straw cup. I’ve heard sippy cup is virtually no better than bottle so has anyone tried any straw cups that have worked for milk?
He will drink water perfectly fine from Zak cups since he was like 6-7 mo old but WILL not do milk. We’ve tried the same zak cups we use for water. We’ve also tried grossimi. And we’ve tried the avent and nursh sippy cup transition nipples to no avail…… :(

My daughter (same age) was on Phillips avent bottles and hated all sippy cups (even the avent ones) EXCEPT Nuk active cups, give those a try! She will also drink out of a regular straw cup, not the ones geared towards toddlers, maybe have him try that?

we use the dr browns straw cup for milk and my son loves it! the only flaw is sometimes the pressure from suction builds up so you have to pull the straw back up but it’s not a big deal

My son won't either although we stopped the bottle at 12months cold turkey. Our pediatrician told us that not every baby likes milk and that if he doesn't wanna drink it as long as he's getting calcium and some other way, it does not matter. So that's just honestly what we went with. He hardly drinks any milk and is thriving 🤷🏼‍♀️ he will drink it from an open cup tho which is odd. We just put a bendy straw in it and hope he doesn't make too big of a mess lol

We have the same issue. I was able to get sippy cup lid converters for our bottles and we just recently switched to that successfully. Our pediatrician recommended the honey bear straw cups so i just ordered a couple to try but if it doesn't work I'm not that stressed since little girl drinks water all day every day out of her straw cups so i know she has the motion down

No milk for us! He wouldn’t drink milk from a straw cup, so we just transitioned to water. We do a couple of pouches a day on really hot days too to make sure he’s hydrated enough.

We do the munchkin straw cup and it works very well! I will add at first it felt impossible to suck through the straw but I feel like we didn’t have it connected properly or something. She drinks her water through them all day and milk through it 3x.
