I have a family member in the states that has used an endocrinologist for hormone and weight management. I've tried to discuss this with my family Dr here and seem to be hitting a wall — even though all my concerns are regarding my hormones, thyroid and weight are all valid reasons to be recommended to one. Not sure if maybe I'm missing something as to why my doctor is refusing to recommend me to one.
If you've had any experience in this, please let me know. Or education on why I'm hitting a wall with my Dr and the topic in general, if there are any Drs or nurses in the group.

Because so many drs don't fully grasp thyroid health and just think TSH is the only thing to look at. I've had good luck with naturopaths who only deal with thyroid health and you can usually get nurse practitioner to order labs
