Baby’s hair
Hey mamas
So I’m a white mama, and my BD is mixed with white and African-American, and I’m dating a white man and don’t really have any African American people around me as BD is pretty much out the picture and his family doesn’t really talk to me.
So this is my babies hair, and I need help on how to do it, after she wakes up, after she has a bath, her hair is always messy, now I can tell she has curls in her hair but I’m not fully sure how to help make sure her curls don’t die? She’s about a year and half old and I really just need help as I feel bad having her hair constantly looking like that
I just found this group so I’m hoping to get some advice

My baby is Half white & half Indian so I’m no help with African hair, however I do know there’s specific African hair salons you can take her to. There is always at least one in a city and usually soooo many. Post on a local facebook group of an African hairdresser and they should be able to help you. They can show you how to do it too. Good luck & you’re a great mama for caring so much
They will give you product recommendations and when your daughter is old enough, they specialize in cutting that hair type as well which is very important. Not all salons know how to deal with that hair type and unfortunately it’s common to run into this issue so it’s best just to bring her straight to where you need to so you can avoid people messing up her hair 🩷🩷
Mango butter is light and with moisturize her hair and add some lushness to her curls, i would say wash with a baby curl … i used cozy curls leave in conditioner spray on my sons while they are 1.5 and under then transition/ mix in regular curl products

Childs farm curly shampoo, conditioner and leave in conditioner spray and once in a while I put olive oil on her scalp for an hour before a wash

Since she’s mixed you won’t need a lot of heavy oils. You just need a good leave in conditioner and a soft light gel to hold the curls. Too many oils weigh down the curls especially since she doesn’t have a lot of texture. Really any curl shampoo and conditioners will work just make sure they’re moisturizing
