Hello ladies, my 4 week old girl has got a diaper rash from before last week. We immediately noticed it and started applying Desitin Max Strength. It’s been more than a week actually, but we don’t see any major improvement. Any thoughts on other creams? Also anyone thinks we should continue using Desitin?

My baby girl had a horrendous diaper rash this week. She'll be 4 weeks on Tuesday herself. Boudreaux Butt Paste is amazeballs. Resolved a really really bad diaper rash within a day and a half

We use A & D ointment works pretty well for my baby boy

Had this issue. Pediatrician told us to soak her butt in the sink with a little water and baking soda. Do your best to let them go diaper free and air out. Just let them lay on a blanket or a water proof surface in case they potty.

Weleda calendula diaper cream is the best!! Got rid of my son’s rash in few days and now he never gets any

To be honest, diaper rash creams never worked for my babies. It always made things worse. When things got bad with my little one, corn starch always helped and helped quick! Once gone, I keep Aquaphor on their bottoms with every change since they poop so often. This avoids rashes for us

Calmoseptine ointment off of Amazon. Put it on before bed, the rash is better by morning EVERY TIME. I have even used it on myself for chafing and it fixed that rash within a night as well. I know it’s not a mainstream cream but our pediatrician did recommend it to us initially and it’s by far the best.

Currently using Destin on my LO and it helps tremendously. Just have to apply a generous amount each diaper change and use water wipes as opposed to regular wipes

Aquaphor

I’ve been using regular aquaphor and it’s the only thing that seems to work for my babies diaper rash

The NICU nurses turned me on to a mixture of Boudreaux butt paste and aquaphor. Mix together and apply on a fully dry bum. Also it could be bacterial not a rash. That would be treated with Lotrimin 2 times a day for a week, but I would ask my pediatrician first.

The doc mentioned to use 40% zinc oxide for our baby. I have been using triple paste on ours.

Thanks all..we will be asking our pediatrician on the same if we should continue using Desitin or try something else.

yes!! fully dry is key!!! What helped my baby was giving her a bath and letting her air dry and also after wiping her from a diaper change letting that completely dry too!

A&D ointment didn't work for my little one I've been using Desitin the hypoallergenic version and it cleared up within one to two days

Weleda!!

Weleda for us as well!! Im obsessed

Bordeaux is my go to. Been applying with every diaper change since birth. Both I and her father have sensitive skin so no doubt she will so we're trying to keep ahead of diaper rash.
