How is everyone coping in this heat?! My little boys room is 29 degrees at the moment. We have had windows open although it just made it hotter and we have a fan on with ice in front of it, it’s doing nothing 🤦🏻♀️ I’m so worried about him over heating in that heat?!

My sons was 31° last night. We follow all the advice: open all the windows first thing in the morning, close them as soon as its hotter outside than in to keep the hot air out, then open them again in the evening. Fans on, curtains closed..and it's not making much difference 😭

I’m the same! It’s a nightmare. Honestly I see so many things about kids over heading and dying and I know I won’t sleep tonight just looking at him the whole time 🤦🏻♀️

My girls room was 27 last night. I was worried too. She just slept in a nappy with nothing else (she's usually on a sleep bag) he bedroom is level with the main road so I won't leave her window open. She has a fan on but it isn't doing much x

If you are able to built an air current in your flat, do it. But if the windows don't allow it (like in our case) we open the windows at night and during the day we close the curtains when the sun light gets in so we store less heat... All this helps to bring the temp down a little bit specially at night but not completely.
Anyways, we are struggling a lot, we just try to go out on Saturday and Sunday somewhere with water or air conditioning.

Ditto! For us also - his room gets hotter than outside temperature because of no ventilation (blackout curtains, and closing the door). Soooo hard to put him down
We have been taking him for a drive to put him to sleep 💤 worked like a charm ;)
Then we put him in bed, we keep his door open to let the air flow

Once the sun goes down, we open all the windows and doors so the breeze goes through the house (if there is one!) Then right before we put our LB to bed we put his windows on the latch, blinds back down and leave all the other windows open still. My LB slept in a pj top and a nappy last night, no blanket, and he surprisingly slept really well and his room was 29. Because there's more breeze today we've managed to get his room down to 25.6 so much lower x

We are doing a lot of what people have said. We have also bought a dehumidifier to try and help, its still warm but the rooms feel the actual temperature rather than feels like temperature, then at night we switch it to the fan mode to keep it cool through the night. Our house was 68% humid, so it was actually feeling more like 32 degrees rather than 29.
We have also bought window treatment that is supposed to help reflect the sun away.

Having the same issues. Her room hit 32 degrees. Keep windows and curtains closed during the day as it will just attract the heat from the sun and the hot air will just come in. When it starts to cool down outside open the windows, before they go to bed if you can. Cool bath every night and just a nappy when it gets that hot, and the fan circulating the room. She’s managed to stay cool throughout the night maybe even some nights on the cool side but I’d rather her be slightly cold than too hot.
