I am 6weeks and 1 day. Yesterday I bled A LOT! I went to the hospital to confirm the miscarriage but it turned out that it wasn’t a miscarriage but a hematoma that ruptured causing me to hemorrhage caused by the embryo’s implantation. Has this happened to anyone else? If so, were you still able to have a viable pregnancy?

I had a hematoma in my first pregnancy and thought I was having a miscarriage. Scan showed the hematoma and they said it would heal. I had no more bleeding after that and had a successful pregnancy. My little girl is now 2!
Thank you!

Yes, I had a subchorionic hematoma in my twin pregnancy. 7 weeks of bleeding fresh blood. At times it was very, very heavy - like, I would sit on the toilet and hear the drip, drip, drip of blood dripping out of me. Babies survived
Edited to add - I was actually told at one point that I was miscarrying. Turns out that doctor was wrong. My twins are 13 now

I had a hematoma with my now 3 year old daughter, and all was fine with her. I did lose the twin I was carrying, but they said it had triploidy.
I also had one with my current pregnancy, and she's perfectly healthy and strong.
