Keeping baby cool

This heat is the most I have experienced with a baby, she is 4 months old and this is a struggle. I exclusively breastfeed, and when I lift her off my lap, she feels sweaty, she is only wearing a nappy, I have a fan on and all doors/windows are open. I have just put her in the Moses basket but I’m worried she’s going to overheat, the temperature in here is 28.6 degrees, is there anything else I can do? I gave her a cool bath before bed, but it’s so hot in my house, I’m not sure it’s done much to help.

We had to buy an air conditioning unit as it was 28 degrees in our bedroom in May! Hate to think what it would be now. Houses are too well insulated for this heat now 😥 hope you can cool LO down!

where did you get one from? I’ve been looking but don’t know which is decent and which are crap

We got an AEG one and it’s fantastic. I would recommend. We should have bought it years ago but baby being safe made us go for it. We’ve had it on every night since we had it to keep the bedroom a comfortable temp before bed 🥰

We've been leaving a fan on overnight, put it on rotation and the lowest setting just to give him a bit of a breeze. We're going to invest in an air-conditioning unit too. Also, would suggest putting a muslin cloth between you and baby while you breastfeed. I've been putting one on my arm where my little one has his head during feeds

We’ve been sleeping downstairs the last couple of nights, 28 in the bedroom but 22 downstairs, not sure if you could do that? I also slept with the back door wide open and the window in thr living room open to cause a blow through and that helped to cool the room down once the temperature cooled a little in the evening
