What did you recently learn how to do that made you feel more adult??

Organization
I’m one of the least organized people ever
Especially physical spaces like home (I can organize a digital workspace and system but home is a whole nother animal)
And I went to the dollar store and grabbed all these little organizational thingies and omg the house looks 1000% better already
Everything has a home

I learned how to pull into a parking spot when there are cars parked on both sides (I drive a bigger vehicle (I went from a Chevy Cruze to a Chevy Traverse)).

My partner and I grow our own fruit/veg, buy & fatten up our own animals for meat, make our own homemade tomato sauces etc. We pretty much don’t spend any money food shopping. This is adulting at it’s finest for me lol

Learning to cook, going back to work whilst managing a 14 month old

I’ve finally mastered how to make rice properly 💁🏽‍♀️💁🏽‍♀️💁🏽‍♀️

I think redoing all my spices into organised labeled glass jars, having my whole plate and cutlery set all matching no mismatches, and some nice pots and pans for cooking so it’s matching and eye appealing and not cluttered. And having my own herb garden - those are the cooking/household related ones that’s made me feel more adult too lol. I can snip a piece of rosemary or sage instead of buying a whole bunch and then waste the rest. And loved reading all your responses too ladies!!

@Kellie well done! I hear you about the winged eyeliner for me its mascara idk how to put them on properly without making a mess..believe it or not I use a small card to put behind my lashes to apply mascara it doesn't go on my eyelid!

oh really? Haha. All I can say is practice does make progress so the only way to learn and get better is to keep applying and you’ll get better at it Xx and all faces/eyes/eyebrows are different so we gotta find what works for us. I can follow a tutorial to a T but because she doesn’t have my eyes it doesn’t look as good so I have to try different ways and angles so it looks good on my eyes.

@Kellie true that! I don't wear make up regularly so the rare occasion I do i really struggle. But getting the hang of it now x

My makeup skills still need work. I never did winged eyeliner unless someone is doing my makeup & I suck at putting on lashes .

oh okay I do a full face every Friday but I wear light makeup every day so I have a lot more opportunities to practice and get better. I do wear mascara daily but the liner and the lashes I save for a Friday night and not daily. But that’s why I’ve been playing w cluster lashes lately, they look like extensions and last me a good 2w if I manage to keep it dry.

heyy i just started canning my garden tomatoes a couple of weeks ago too and it does feel like i reached a "new level" haha

Makimg homadede meals for my gamily regardless of our budget ☺️

Clean more, fold/hang clothes, wash dishes lol I never used to do any of that.
