Please send advise!

Hey ladies, my little girl is 5 months old and with the heat she’s gone off her milk! I’ve tried her with cool boiled water but where she has reflux she just throws it up and that then brings up the little milk she’s drink! We weaned her at 4 months so this morning when she wouldn’t have much of her milk, she had 2.5oz of a 7oz bottle (she normally drains 7oz) I decided to mash some banana up with her milk which she took too! Is this something I can do throughout the day so she’s getting some sort of fluids? I’m at a loss, I don’t know what to do!🩷

I would say just try little and often. my little one is very similar in the heat and sometimes drinks a whole bottle but other times only 2oz. as long as they are having wet nappies you should be okay xx

My little girl is the same but we haven’t weaned her yet. My HV advised to feed little and often during the heat, but that as long as she is still passing urine, there will be no harm done, as either the heat will pass or she will eventually get used to it and drink more! It’s easier said than done but try not to stress about it, you’re doing everything right 🫶🏻

Thank you ladies, honestly it’s so hard! She decided 4am was a fabulous time to poop and has been awake since! It’s taken me 6 and a half hours to get her to go back to sleep this heat is awful for our little ones! 🥺 thank you for your advice fellow Mummys xx
