how many layers does ur friend charge for that price range and how many inches ? X

I’d definitely pay anything up to like £50-£55 for this. No more than that. Mind you, I’m comparing this to the last two birthday cakes I’ve ordered which had crazy designs

My friend is a chef/bakery chef and charges up to 100+ for cakes like these x

£60 is a bargain for a cake of that size and quality. I’d be surprised if they quoted less than £80.

I’m sure I paid £60 for my son’s christening cake from a chain bakery 15 years ago so I’d say about £100.

I was quoted for that design at £80 for (3 layers 6inches). Not same measurements as the picture… as I want a smaller cake. The cake image I attached looks like it’s about 8 inches and 3 layers. Not too sure though x

Oh wow that cake looks amazing! 😍it’s so detailed like you said. Definitely worth £110!
Also, I agree.

thank you 🥰 I almost cried when it was time to cut it cause it was just so pretty 😂

I commented the price for a 6 inch 2 layer as the post said.
She does do different sizes and layers which all vary in price.
I think £80 is very reasonable for what you want tbh. The time, skill and ingredients involved is what makes it more expensive as it’s all buttercream which takes a lot of time to make and manipulate (probably the wrong word but I’m not a baker lol) in comparison to sugar paste decorations and sugar icing

so beautiful 😍😍

I just found someone else who is willing to do 2 layer and 6inches for £52. I’m happy with this price 🎊

I probably wouldn’t pay it typically, but I think cakes like that are definitely over £100 nowadays, probably quite a bit over.
Much prefer my random, squinty, home made efforts 😂…

I’m in the US- so I checked conversion rates - I’d pay $50-80 for this which is around 40-60 pounds

This is amazing for that price!

I know. She even bought all the figures to go on it and made it all dairy free as my toddler has a dairy allergy

I’d pay £40-£50 depending on layers but I know these get quoted A LOT from looking myself

Lolas do a similar-ish cake for £48 https://www.lolas.co.uk/products/white-ribbons-and-ruffles-cake
