Am I crazy for only wanting one kid?

I’m currently 25 weeks with my first and I’m terrified of labor and delivery and all the other changes. Any advice? Drop it in the comments, what helped you feel better about L & D, hospital bag checklist, etc.

i originally only wanted 1 child after everything i went thru. mostly bc of her donor. it was more of a mental thing from the abuse. but my fiancé has completely changed that. currently pregnant with my second lol. and ik i want more 😅. but l&d side of it. it helped me better prepare once my hospital bag was packed and i had a game plan for what i wanted to happen. i ended up having a csection. which is a story for another time. but this time i’ve been mentally preparing myself for either. i’m praying for a vbac but i think ive come to terms if it doesn’t happen. biggest thing, remember who you get to meet after months of growing them 🤍 it’s pure magic hearing their first cry and holding them.

That’s your call. Nothing wrong with being one and done.

I was also terrified for L&D, I ended up needing a c section which I was even more afraid of… Fact is, MOST births are pretty uneventful and our bodies know what to do ( cliche I know)
I don’t have any advice or tips per-say. But it’s really not as bad as you think it will be or as bad a most social media makes it out to be( for me at least)
even though my birth experience was not what I wanted it to be, I still see it as a positive experience. Good nurses and a good support person can really make or break the experience! Don’t worry mama you got this and that little babe will be worth every stress and fear you went through, promise! ❤️

To add **** I’m 13 days PP from my c section and recovery honestly has kinda been a breeze so far, painful at times of course but totally manageable!

reading positive birth stories/listening to podcasts, positive affirmations and meditation helped a lot with birth anxiety. by the time birth came i was more excited than anything

No you’re not crazy at all. Labor and delivery is terrifying everytime but in the end worth it!

What made me feel comfortable is touring my hospital’s L&D, talking with some of the consultants that would be on site and really trusting my ob/gyn team. Both of my boys were high risk pregnancies so I was in the ob office a lot and growing that relationship really helped me feel comfortable and confident by the time it came to get them here
