Anyone else having issues with knowing how much milk little ones are meant to be having with now being on solids?
Have always stressed about bottle intake but my little one has always put on decent weight but now with weaning she seems to be wanting a lot less than her normal amount (hasnt lost any weight, seems to have plateaued) but have had to resort to dream feeds as very stressed with the heat too. Husband says to back off the food with the heat but already dont think we do it consistently. Any ideas?

I saw such a good picture of how many bottles there should be and roughly when to drop some and then eventually stop. But I can’t find it now. I’m EBF so didn’t save it.
But basically they should have the same amount of bottles as before, I believe until about 8 months, but I think that’s also based on starting with one meal a day.
Keep offering the same amount, and if baby has less than that’s most likely fine. Babies take to weaning at different paces.

I used to be very stressed with bottle intake as we had some feeding issues and slow weight gain when my girl was newborn/younger. I’ve relaxed a lot recently and have read that babies only need between 500-600ml in a 24ht period once they start weaning (I think this is based on 1 meal per day).
I’d say as long as baby is happy and healthy, not losing weight and has plenty of wet and dirty nappies then try not to worry. Baby will let you know if they are hungry x
