First time mums

Coldsore with a 4 month old :(

Hi i noticed this evening that I have a coldsore forming on my lip. I started using cream straight away but im a first time mum and know how contagious/dangerous it can be for babies! Im washing hands regular and making sure baby don't come in contact with the sore. My anxiety is just through the roof atm! Is there anything else I can do to protect her? Or can the dr prescribe a stronger cream? Any advice please :( thank you
