Are maternity/pregnancy photos sinful to partake in as a Christian?

I asked a group of Christian women about recommendations on modest maternity photoshoot dresses and styles, and I was told not to be like the world. I don't even want to show my actual belly in the pictures. I just want to wear a nice dress and pose with my husband once I'm 30 weeks. I can understand if I was wearing skimpy dress and practically nude with my pregnant belly showing, but tasteful pregnancy photos I don't think are any different than taking family photos with your kiddos. Idk, am I wrong?

You’re definitely not in the wrong! Capture these memories and the bump! Life is too short 🫶 Everyone has a different modesty standard so just do and wear what you are comfortable with.

It’s a beautiful time in your life that absolutely needs documenting, for you and to show your child one day. Don’t let the opinions of others stop you doing something that you will only get one chance to do. Your pregnancy is a beautiful miracle. Why would a loving God not want you to remember and have pictures of that.

You will want to look back at how you looked during pregnancy. Also you can one day show your child!
