We’re not sure that our MAM bottles are agreeing with our little boy, he’s very gassy and will only take small amounts at a time. Looking at him feeding he does always seem to have a bit of a gap between his mouth and the teat so want to look at other options to see if this helps.
Has anyone made a swap to different brands? I’ve heard good things about Dr Brown from a colic/gas point of view but have seen people say they are fiddly?
Thanks!

We changed from MAM to the Lansinoh bottles and had no issues changing him over to them. They are also anti colic and haven’t had any issues with them yet 😊x

Instead of buying whole new bottles, laninsoh teats fir on mam bottles!
this is amazing, will give this a try! Where did you buy the teats from? Just looking online and there doesn’t seem to be many options for a slow flow whilst he’s still so little xx

I’m doing the same. Using lansinoh teats with my mam bottles although I think my little girl prefers the mam size 0 teat atm. The slow flow teats are available again on the lansinoh website x. https://lansinoh.co.uk/products/pack-of-naturalwave-slow-flow-teats?srsltid=AfmBOopbWRIa-OQmED469p6uBFbAMo_9Sr1nlTaeU7dha55LH6ngVv_H&variant=42485449031839

I bought my slow flow teats on amazon😊

You can get them on amazon, we bought the slow flow teat and have used it since our baby was 3 weeks old x

Dr brown bottles! My little was the same and we found made a huge difference xx

Tommee tippee bottles have proven to be good for us, specifically the advanced anti colic ones if you’re finding your baby is gassy. My little girl has been on them from the start and so far, have had no problems with gas or reflux or colic at all!!
do you use the wide or narrow bottles? Didn’t realise there were two options to pick from!! Xx

our baby is on baby gaviscon too and have still been using the slow flow and number one tests I tried number two due to milk being thick but he hated them and it was too fast, we have to use a little carobel and two sachets of the gaviscon is the medium too fast or best to go with the slow? Asking due to his preference of teat size 1 sorry for so much detail, I’m struggling as he’s extremely fussy and ten weeks too

my baby is on gaviscon and the slow flow lansinoh teats work perfectly xxx

May I ask, how is everyone administering the baby gaviscon? I’ve been given it for my baby too as she has a little reflux but I don’t know the best way to give it to her. It seems to be a bit tedious

are you EBF or bottle?

I was EBF when I was first given the gaviscon. I started bottles this week to get her used to it as I need to leave my LO with my mum on the weekend. So I won’t be pumping regularly or anything. However I was thinking to give her one bottle a day which means at least 1 pump a day

you need to use it with every feed as it thickens the milk, but make sure you don’t administer more then 6 sachets a day x but make sure not to use it with instant carobel or anti reflux milk x

but how do you do it? Mix it into the bottle? The instructions seem so tedious and if I haven’t pumped then it says you can use water? I was worried about giving her water. It also says to give it halfway through the feed?

I use the hot shot method you need 10ml for every scoop, so she is on 5oz so i do a 60ml hot shot, add the powder and gaviscon, shake it, dissolves it, then add cooled boiled water 😊

I just put it in the bottle and I did every other bottle initially as there were more than six feeds, but now we’re down to six feeds and higher volume so having to use two sachets before I just used one it was enough

thank you!

so if I make a bottle of breast milk, I can just pour the sachet into that and give it a swirl?

I warm up the formula and do it so I don’t get any clumps

aaahhh yess that makes sense! When I next do a bottle I will try this, thank you :) x
