Is it something you train them to do or do you have to wait until they naturally stop peeing in their sleep?

Mine did it automatically along with potty training. I always wait a few weeks to make sure every single morning diaper is dry and then we switch to undies at night.
I know kids who it takes years for them to be night time potty trained. That is also normal.

Overnight is hormonal so you just wait. My 3.5 year old has been daytime potty trained for a year and still doesn’t wake up dry.
exact same with mine
how do you train them if they aren’t aware while they are sleeping?

I voted 6+ by accident, my son ain’t even 3 mo old yet lol

You can’t train them. It’s something their body does naturally. I noticed shortly after potty training that the pull up was dry at night so put plastic sheets on the bed and removed the pull up.

My daughter is 4.5 and has been potty trained for 2 years and still most days wakes up with a wet pull up. She will sometimes get up and use the toilet in the night but we haven’t had enough dry nights to get rid of the pull ups yet!

He never peed overnight, but I kept him in pull ups for a bit for my own sanity cos I can’t be dealing with wet sheets in the middle of the night 😂. He day trained at 2.5, and was out of pull ups by night at 3.5

4 years old she just started taking them off and going potty at night by herself

My daughter is still in crib, and I’m not willing to give that up yet. We still do nap time (she’s 2) and it’s such a relief for my work from home schedule right now, so I’m waiting to care about night time/nap time until next year😅
